We have just hit yet another milestone.

This morning at 10.43am EST, our 200,000th member registered on Gazzump.

This is yet another huge milestone, as only just over 3 months ago, we hit the 100,000th registered user milestone.

We would like to thank all of our members, supporters and fans who have made Gazzump what it is today.

We added a new feature yesterday to allow members who are not Premium status, the ability to download more than the daily cap allows you to. To do so, you can obtain free download credits and use these to download free files each day, without any cap or advertisements. If you are interested in learning more, just visit this link while logged in to Gazzump.

We have made changes to the conversion algorithm  and we have seen an increase of successful conversions, although YouTube are still updating their site constantly, we are making changes as soon as they arise so our tool still functions with whatever changes they make.

So a lot people reach their daily download limit every day, some decide to upgrade to Premium Status to download unlimited videos daily, some do not.

For those who do not chose to upgrade to Premium, we have just added another option for you to be able to download videos on a daily basis, depending how bad you want them!

You can now fill out free surveys and earn download credits for each survey you fill out. Some surveys are worth 1 download credit each and some are worth as much as 30 credits each!

What are these credits used for? Well if you have credits, your daily download limit does not start until you have used up all of your credits, so you can download as many videos as you want daily and when you run out of credits, just fill out a few more surveys!

Although while the majority of the surveys are free, the ones that give you big bonus download credits may cost some sort of SMS payment, etc.

We hope you like this update, and we really value every one of our members. Which is why we have put this in place so the people that cannot upgrade to Premium, can still download videos daily.

Our website has been open for around 4 months now.. and we have just reached our biggest milestone yet!

Today at 3.15PM, we hit 100,000 registered members!

We would like to thank all of our members and fans for helping us out over the past few months, weather it be by creating reviews, telling your friends about us or even just simply using our service.

To celebrate our milestone, we are going to be giving out 5 premium memberships to 5 random Gazzump members every day for a week starting October 31st.

This giveaway will celebrate our milestone and also reward some of our members over halloween.

Gazzump was producing errors for the early parts of this morning due to YouTube making some changes their end, we have quickly patched this and our site is fully functional again.

Hello, its been a while since we updated our site so we thought we’d do a quick update which will be loved and used by all of our members.

Currently, you visit YouTube, find a video you like.. copy the URL and enter it into Gazzump right?

We’ve just made this a whole lot easier!

You can now search for videos within Gazzump, just enter the search terms in the URL entry box.. for example type “dizzee rascal” in there (without the quotation marks) and it’ll come up with the top 20 most popular videos for your search, from this result interface you can download videos as quick as 123 without having to ever leave our site!

As mentioned yesterday, we were creating a “Manage Your Files” type of thing for Premium Members.

I have just finished coding this and have launched it for Premium Members only, this is now accessible by clicking the Manage button on the websites navigation (you’ll only see it if you are a premium member).

We have changed the way Gazzump works yet again!

We want to keep our visitors happy, so instead of making it so members can only convert 10 videos and then be forced to upgrade, we have made it so members can convert 3 videos daily.

Once you hit 3 downloads in a 24 hour time period, you won’t be able to download another video unless you wait 24 hours or you upgrade.

Premium members do not have any limitations and they also get access to many more features which do not come with a regular member account.

I have been working very hard since the Premium release to get some extra features going for those who help us out by following out with the one time upgrade of their Gazzump Account.

Here are the things I have been working on (due to release by the 15th September):

1. If a YouTube video download fails (it only downloads to your computer as 30 seconds, it downloads the wrong song, and many other problems people have had in the past) – there will be a simple “Re-download” button on the conversion download page. By clicking this button, you’ll be redirected back through the download and conversion process, you can then download the video again – this should fix everything and allow you to download every video without any problems.

2. Manage Your Files – I have almost finished coding this and am soon to implement it, for those who are already premium members- we are already tracking all of the videos you download! We have designed and implemented a new “behind the scenes” tracking software which tracks every video a premium member downloads and then stores it to our database, with this information – we are releasing a “Manage” page which will show all of the videos you have downloaded, it will tell you when you downloaded it and it will also show a download button so you can download the video again, a small preview of it in development stages has been attached to this post.

I will update you and let you know more information for the release of these features, it should be by the end of this week

We have implemented a Premium feature on Gazzump, this will help cover website expenses and allow us to move forward and advance our technology.

Guests can convert and download one video, they are then required to register as a member.
Members can convert and download ten videos, they are then required to upgrade their account.

Upgrading your account costs $5.00 USD, a one time fee (you pay once and thats it). After clicking upgrade and following through with the payment on PayPal, you’ll be redirected back to Gazzump and your account will automatically be upgraded.

Most other conversion utilities cost around $15.00 a month to be a member of, so we have priced ours at $5.00 a one time fee to hopefully be affordable to all.

We know some people will disagree with this move, but we really had no other choice. We have website expenses of around $3,000 per month and due to no revenue being made on the site, it was coming out of our pocket. Our site was rated by hundreds of news websites as one of the most convenient, ‘most thought out’, extensive tools to download YouTube media, we think that we should get a fair few people upgrading and continuing to use our service, without this Premium feature being put into place, our site would have died due to the server expenses each month.. atleast turning to this option will keep our tool alive to those who really appreciate it and don’t mind showing so by ‘donating’ a one time payment of $5.00

A few things premium members can expect over the coming months:

- Higher quality downloads for Premium Members only
- More conversion formats for Premium Members only
- A newer precise conversion technology which will convert all videos correctly 99% of the time
- The ability to track videos you have converted and download them on the fly from your account panel
- You will be able to convert and download multiple videos at once, how cool!

We hope you understand this update and why we have done it, hopefully $5.00 will be affordable enough for you to continue with our service and upgrade.

We have outlined the main problem which has been the cause of various bugs the last few days.

When downloading a video, we download the video from the Google cache servers… where the YouTube videos are hosted, following?

Well.. when each video link is entered into Gazzump, a unique Google cache link is created in which we parse and download to our server, still following?

Anyway, the Google cache links have a thing called timeout parameters, and if we parse the video to our download section too quickly or too slow, the download fails!

Therefore.. when downloading a video, if an error shows, simply refresh the page and it should download for you – thats our temporary fix.

We will be releasing a permanent fix over the next few days which will automatically do this easy process for you incase a video ever fails to download to our server.
